M.C. Pant, the Chancellor of the National Institute of Educational Planning and Administration (NIEPA), is the Chairperson of the National Syllabus and Teaching Learning Material Committee (NSTC). Manjul Bhargava, a Professor at Princeton University, is the Co-Chairperson. The committee includes various experts from diverse fields.
 

Q3: What is the role of the National Curriculum Framework (NCF-SE)?

The NCF-SE, developed by the K. Kasturirangan-led steering committee, serves as a reference point and guiding roadmap for developing the syllabus and textbooks for school education across the country.
 

Q4: What areas will the textbooks and teaching materials cover?

The textbooks and teaching materials will cover all curricular areas and subjects that are part of the NCF-SE. The aim is to provide comprehensive educational resources for a range of subjects.
 

Q5: How will the developed materials be published and distributed?

The textbooks and teaching materials created by the NSTC will be published and distributed by the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT).
 

Q6: How will the NSTC develop materials for various subjects?

The NSTC will be supported by curricular area groups (CAGs) that will work on developing textbooks and teaching materials for each subject included in the syllabus. The Chairperson and Co-Chairperson of NSTC will oversee the formation of these groups with appropriate experts and the support of NCERT.
