Interpol"s Notices and their Colours

Interpol, the International Criminal Police Organization, issues different types of notices to assist law enforcement agencies around the world in locating and apprehending individuals wanted for various reasons. These notices are color-coded based on the nature of the request. As of my last update in September 2021, the following are the colors of Interpol notices along with their meanings:

1. Red Notice: This is the most well-known Interpol notice. It's issued to seek the location and provisional arrest of a person pending extradition. It's used for individuals wanted for prosecution or to serve a sentence for serious criminal offenses.

2. Blue Notice: This notice is used to collect additional information about a person's identity, location, or activities in relation to a crime. It's issued to help locate and identify individuals who are not necessarily wanted for arrest, but whose location or activities are of interest to law enforcement.

3. Green Notice: This notice is issued to provide warnings and criminal intelligence about individuals who have committed criminal offenses and are likely to repeat these crimes in other countries.

4. Yellow Notice: This notice is used to help locate missing persons, especially minors, or to help identify individuals who are unable to identify themselves.

5. Black Notice: This notice is issued to seek information about unidentified bodies. It's used to help identify deceased individuals in cases where the identity is unknown.

6. Orange Notice: This notice is issued to warn law enforcement agencies and the public about events, objects, persons, or processes that represent an imminent threat to public safety.

7. INTERPOL-United Nations Security Council (UNSC) Special Notice: This notice is issued for individuals and entities that are subject to sanctions by the United Nations Security Council. It's aimed at assisting countries in implementing sanctions measures.
