INDIAN AIR FORCE'S TARANG SHAKTI EXERCISE
**1. What is Tarang Shakti?**
Tarang Shakti is the largest multilateral exercise hosted by the Indian Air Force (IAF). It involves participation from multiple countries and includes a significant display of air assets from both the IAF and foreign nations.

The exercise will occur in two phases: the first from August 6-14, 2024, and the second from September 1-14, 2024.

Phase-1 of Tarang Shakti will be conducted at Sulur in Tamil Nadu, while Phase-2 will take place at Jodhpur.

Eighteen countries are participating, with ten of these bringing their air assets. Additional countries will join as observers, and an invitation has been extended to 51 countries in total.

The exercise will feature a mix of fighters, refuelling aircraft, airborne early warning aircraft, and C-130 Special Forces aircraft from participating countries. The Indian Navy will also contribute with its MiG-29K carrier borne fighters during Phase-1.
