  SUBJECTS: SRIRAM'S IAS

As indicated in the section titled `Courses”, the Subjects we offer are the General Studies, Public Administration and History. Each subject is taught by Faculty with abundant experience.

The Institution conducts its teaching and training programme on the basis of following principles and convictions:

  • The class should be interactive
  • The coverage of syllabus of General Studies should be such that finer aspects and the dynamic dimensions are done justice to. Indian Constitution and Indian Economy should be taught by highlighting the interconnections and conceptual linkages. For example, Finance Commission and Planning - to give just one example.
  • The commitment of the student should be continuously strengthened with examinations and clarifications. The object is to build confidence and clarity which is vital for success in the Civil Services Examination.
  • Above all result oriented preparation should be the goal.

We believe that Public Administration is a simple and scoring subject where there is substantial overlap with General Studies both in the Prelims and the Mains examinations. Identically, with History. Given sound guidance, History can be very advantageous. The crucial pre-requisite to extract the best from the subject is that the candidate should have competent teachers and sound study material. Concepts need to be clarified and the latest developments both in the country and elsewhere should be tracked from a mature perspective.
