The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) conducts civil services examination which is considered as one of the most difficult and tough competitive exams in India. Clearing Indian Administrative Service (IAS) examination is not a child’s job, it takes several years to prepare and clear the exam.

But on the other hand, there are some young aspirants who cleared the civil service exam at a very young age and becomes IAS officers.
 
Here are the few young IAS officers who put their feet’s on the pedal at an early age.

1. Ansar Ahmad Shaikh (21 Years)

Ansar is the son of a rickshaw driver from the drought-hit Shelgaon village in Maharashtra's Jalna district. He cleared the civil services exam in 2016 with an all-India rank of 361. He presently serves as Special Duty Officer (SDO) at the West Bengal government's MSME and Textiles Department.
 
2. Roman Saini (22 Years)
IAS Toppers


At the age of 22, Roman Saini cracked the Civil Services Exam with an all-India rank of 18 in 2013. Before Shaikh, he was the youngest IAS officer and was appointed a Madhya Pradesh collector. Roman got 18th rank in the 2013 IAS Exam in his very first attempt but he resigned from IAS in 2015 before his training completion to focus on his venture Unacademy. 
 
3. Swati Meena Naik (22 Years)
IAS Toppers

Swati Meena Naik was 22 years old when she became an IAS officer in 2007 by obtaining an all-India rank of 260 from Rajasthan's Sikar. She presently serves in the Cooperative Marketing Federation of the State of Madhya Pradesh.
 
4. Amrutesh Aurangabadkar (22 Years)
IAS Toppers


Placed fourth in the list of youthful IAS officers, Pune's Amrutesh Aurangabadkar passed the 2011 civil service exam with an all-India rank of 10 at a young age of 22. He presently serves as the Municipal Regional Commissioner, Vadodara.
 
5. Ankur Garg (22 Years)
IAS Toppers


In 2002, at a young age of 22, Ankur Garg finished the civil service exam, becoming the youngest candidate to achieve the feat. Garg is currently pursuing a two-year master’s program at the prestigious Harvard University.
